ADHS American Sign Language Club
ASL Class is now added to Athens' class but there is a catch. It could be removed only if there aren't enough students registered to the class due to budget cuts.

"Celebrating the Best of Both Worlds."

ASL Club was created to educate both hearing and the deaf/hard-of-hearing more about the language and how it can be applied in real life. Taking the information from the club can begin careers and help students realize who they want to be, whether it is in comunication sciences and disorders or other healthcare/childcare careers or not. ASL Club was created to desegregate the cultures of hearing and deaf. The two cultures are different, but there are so many things that are similar, too. Students will realize that there is nothing wrong with being friends with someone so different from them. We can all learn from eachother and we all can affect one another's lives in significant ways.
